Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience required in the transportation or logistics industry.

Role Responibilities:
Assist in the administration of the annual operating budget. Effectively control and utilize manpower through planning, organizing scheduling to minimize loss time.
Work within capital and operating expense budgets.
Plan direct and evaluate the activities of Freight Sales department
Establish organizational policies and procedures in relation to sales
Determine strategic planning related to new accounts
Lead sales team in building relationships with business clients and manage negotiations of sales contracts
Recruit, organize, train and manage staff
Work toward increasing productivity by reducing miles and improved equipment utilization, reduce fuel costs, vehicle maintenance costs, insurance costs, roadside vehicle inspections and reduce labour costs.
Select, train, develop and provide a positive growth environment for the transportation team. Encourage, motivate, coach and maintain positive relationships with transportation staff.
Work closely with Sales team to ensure that special customer requests are met.
