Cement Powders / Construction Materials

With a dedicated construction materials division, we are servicing the cement producers as well as various end users such as ready-mix, pre-cast, paving, block and construction facilities throughout Ontario, Quebec, and into the United States. The division is mainly multi-axle equipment with 4 axle, 5 axle and 6 axle pneumatic tankers with tandem tanks available to run further into the United States. With a large fleet located throughout Ontario hauling various cement powders, silica fume, fly ash and cement kiln dust we are committed to servicing the construction industry.

Dry Bulk Special Commodities

Operating throughout North America our dry bulk special commodities division is hauling various dry bulk commodities in pneumatic tankers. With extensive fleet of tandem tankers, 4 axle, 5 axle, and 6 axle tankers as well as B-trains, we are able to service all of our customers’ needs. With the capacity to haul any dry bulk commodity and the ability to offer specialized service such as portable storage trailers and vacuum trailers, we work with our customers to maximize their efficiency or assist in emergency work. The various types of product we haul include various grades lime, sand, petcoke, plastics and corn starch. Having equipment with New York F1 divisible load permits, in house non-hazardous internal wash bays at 2 terminal locations, properly trained, safe operators and the commitment to be a industry leader in both safety and customer service.

Sudbury ON:

With a terminal in Sudbury Ontario terminal we are better able to service our customers in Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec. Comprised of 5 axle, 6 axle and B-trains we have the ability to haul large weights to better service our customers. Hauling a variety of products that include various grades of limes and cement powders we are working with the various industries like mining companies and paper mills that operate in the great North.

LIQUID FOOD:

We have a dedicated fleet of kosher food grade liquid tankers operating out of our Southern Ontario and Eastern Ontario terminals comprised of tandem, tridem, 4 axles, 5 axles, and 6 axle tankers. Equipped with hydraulically driven food grade pumps these tankers are used to service the food and beverage industry.

DRY BULK FOOD

With the acquisition of a long haul liquid chemical division in 2006 Laidlaw has since grown to be one of the top companies in the liquid chemical transportation industry. Hauling throughout Ontario, Quebec and United States, Laidlaw Carriers Tank LP has a dedicated Acid division. Comprised of all 412 spec tandem and multi axle tankers, and operating with New York F1 divisible load permits, we are set up to service our customer’s needs and are prepared to take on any new available acid work.

Propane

We have a fleet of bulk propane tankers that haul propane and butane throughout Ontario and into Quebec and United States. With a fleet consisting of B-trains, 4 axles, 3 axles and tandems and strategically located operators, we are structured to meet the growing needs of customers.

Laidlaw has purchased new propane equipment every year since entering this business in 2009. With more equipment on order and expected to arrive in the near future, we are continuously ready to take on your additional work every day.

Specialized

Throughout Laidlaw Carriers Tanks history we have always acquired the necessary equipment required to properly service our customer’s unique needs. While working with our customers to maximize our services we have identified opportunities where our specialized equipment can improve customer efficiency and reduce customer operating costs.

Our specialized equipment includes vacuum trailers that allows us to provide a vacuum service for loading out of silo’s or rail cars, multi compartment liquid food grade trailers or our liquid chemical compartment trailers that include 2, 3 and 4 compartment trailers, Fiberglass or FRP trailers used to haul corrosive materials or portable storage trailers (PIGS) that we can move on site with portable pneumatic blower capabilities to help increase the efficiency of shipping and receiving operations for our customers, while reducing their costs.
