City of Hamilton Releases Draft Truck Route Network

The City of Hamilton staff have released their draft proposed truck route map for stakeholder review and feedback.

The draft recommends significant changes to the current route network such as the use of daytime only restrictions on multiple portions of the proposed truck route (7:00am – 7:00pm).

In addition, the draft plan has also removed segments of the current truck route, while also adding additional sections not previously part of the network to help ensure goods movement is not adversely impacted.

OTA members who operate through the City of Hamilton or would like to take part in further consultations are encouraged to provide comments about the draft network to lak.shoan@ontruck.org by June 18.

Feedback can also be sent directly to the City of Hamilton to transportation@hamilton.ca. The city has reiterated that the draft network map and strategies are subject to change based on feedback.
